Default best turbo

for a reliable, quick spooling, hold a decent amount of boost, and still produce significant WHP im leaning towards a garret t3/t04e 57 trim w/.48 a/r turbine housing and .60 a/r compressor housing w/stage III wheel.........any inputs?

only thing listed about bearings is "standard with 270 degree thrust bearing"
http://store.yahoo.com/cheaptu....html and I'm posting it under crx/ef forum due to im swapping it onto my 91crx and felt that their would be more advice in this forum

its $589 off that site but i guess what im asking is whats the best trim and A/R setup for a garret t3/t04e for fast spooling, able to hold high boost, and still be capable of 300+ whp?

are you wanting to make a big number or make usable power and torque through the full range?

if this is for a sohc motor, go buy your self a brand new mitsubishi turbo, go to a shop and ask them to order you a replacement, the last time i checked with my friends shop he sed he could get one from the factory for about $225.

should have realized that from his name, on the other hand i would pick up a t/3 precision turbo from the forced induction classifieds. you can find them pretty cheap, just stay away from a guy named TwopointZero..

ill look into the forced induction classifieds but im pretty definante im purchasing a garret t3/t04e from the site listed about..but im wanting the best of both worlds but more so on the faster spooling, im wanting a 12s daily driver...so the question is whats the best trim and a/r sizing for a t3/t04e for a fast spooling,12sec car... hope that helps

i have a t25 (stock mitsubishi) on my d16, it spools very fast. i have driven a 1.6 with a t3 on it but i've heard they're noticeably more laggy, however with a t4 compressor you're going to move more air than a straight t3 would. lag shouldn't be as bad as a straight t3 but won't be as quick as a smaller turbo like a t25/14b/td04 etc
