Default How well does your paint hold up?

Honda is not known for having the best paint in the business, but I must admit I am a little disappointed. My 1995 integra gsr has tons of nicks and pebble marks on the front, and it has for a while. Obviously a quick respray is an order, but why does honda paint suck? I have seen crappily kept volkswagons have better paint than my *sweetie*, or even old toyotas and mazdas. What gives???

Depends where you live and if your car is garaged or not.
No problems with my paint so far

I think some depends on where you live, some on how you take care of it. sure if the paint is crappy, no matter how much you wash and wax its not going to matter; mines a 95 I wash twice a week and polish and wax with meguiar's once a month-7 yrs old and still showroom shine. I have covered parking as well

Covered parking most of the time, paint is still blingin'. The previous owner did a nice job taking care of it too

i have a 97 prelude, red, and the paint is dying fast. i live on the east coast, not too far from the beach...when i bought it the paint was in good condition, but within the last 6 months it has gotten really bad. i've been told since that honda paint sucks and that they come from the factory with the minimum amount of clear coat needed to be sold in the U.S. This i got from a body shop. i'm saving up for a paint job right now, hopefully in april.

damn man, just be glad its not subarus paint. They have a SERIOUS problem on their hands. about 2-3 weeks after the WRX came out, there were people ALL OVER i-club complaining about their paint chipping already.

for how much highway time i put my car through, theres barely any pepple knicks
