Rim Repair
Was nearly involved in a horrible accident last night, but I was able to swerve off to the side and miss the collision (three cars totalled). I missed any major damage to my car bur my rims rubbed up against the divider and they are pretty messed up. Wondering it any of you have experience with rim repair sevices.
I used to work at Discount Tire and whenever people would bring in bent rims, we'd have some people pick them up and fix the rims....If you take them to a Tire Shop, I'm pretty sure they have people who fix rims for them
i have a rim problem i have Racingharts c2 and the clear coat is cracking or somthing. How much do you think Discount tire would charge to take the clear coat off and put a new coat on?
Or you guys could use this as the perfect opportunity to get another colored rim or stick with the original color. My buddy's 97 accord has scraped up rims and we sanded'em down to sweet smoothness then went to Advanced Auto Parts and bought wheel paint and wheel clear and made them a sweet sexy, shiney gunmetal color. I would definitely suggest it
Good luck!
Good luck!

I'm not sure how much they charged, I didn't work up front. I was one of the guys who replaced the tires in the back...Alright job, but damn I didn't like some of the people I worked with
Wheel Techniques down here in Santa Clara wanted 200 per rim. I can get new SH rims for cheaper than that. Guess it's time to just get some rims.

Yup, wetsanding them will only create a better surface. No primer either. I will see if he can post up pics for you guys, they look awesome though
