my car is making a tapping noise like its the lifters or somethin like that and my car will not stay running it will die if u dont give it gas, and the noise gets real loud around 4000 rpms. maybe someone can help me figure out what the problem is.

 

maybe your engine is almost dead mines knocking a little bit too..

 

what kinda engine?
are your valves adjusted in spec?
Is it a bottom end knock?
Need more info!

You don't have lifters in your overhead-cam engine, bro . that's most likely rod knock due to a spun bearing. Your time on that engine grows short. Good luck.

knocking.... i went through that, I drove a couple of monthes on it till it just died on me on the highway...

 

check your timing dont rev your car up you will bend your valves or mess something crazy up
