h22 hatch (eg) vs jr(sc'd) 95 integra
ok i cant take the verbal abuse anymore!! im going to smoke this guy finally.. do i have enough to be dominate..not just win..but tear his *** a new one..ive been working on this for months.. im almost finished but its time to break her out..
my car..92 ex coupe with built h22..i/h/e p/polished head..type-sh cams with cam gears..msd ignition..walbro 255 fuel pump..aem fuel rail with aem fpr..apex-i vafc and a 75 shot of wet nos.. this car is damn near naked..cd player,2dr speakers,seats,dash and shifter.. insides of doors are all there as well we didnt see the point of stripping them..
the car im racing..95 gsr with a jackson racing sc..+pulley kit for 9lbs of boost..msd ignition..car has 78,000 miles on it..i/h/e as well thats it.. hes got the back of the teg stripped out...and no a/c..
i think i should win but will it be close?? im 28 i dont race to much anymore
but i just cant take the smack talking anymore..last night did me in..telling me hes going to own me from the line.. i just put in a new clutch and lightened flyweel as well so im guessing i should run low 13s?? with him running around 14.2 to 14.8??

it depends on how well u and him drive
i went 13.5@101 in my h22 hatch
but a friend of mine went 14.6@98 in a gsr w/ intake and exhaust

what kind of ecu tweeks have you done? alot of stuff on a car can be beat by a car with less stuff with good tuning, but from a comparison your car should kick some *** h22s launch hard out of the hole so just get er done good luck
I've seen more than one OBD1 gsr run lower than a 14.8 with just bolt-ons. (on street tires) With bolt-ons and 9lbs its an easy mid 13 second car driven properly. But so is your car. Good luck!
IT's all in the driver. When I had a JRSC on my 95integra GSR, I went 8.07 @ 88.8mph in the 1/8 which is about a 12.7 or better in the 1/4. If he is running 14.8 then he cant drive his car very well. IF you can drive better then you "should" win. Good luck

wow my car went 12.7 with a 1.8vtec with cams, and slick, and mid 13's on streets. its not that hard

BUMP......you will be puttin down 12s maybe with a good driver even break into the 11s. And you say that its stripped naked too with NOz ......the teg is not going anywhere... and yes traction will be an issue.

I don't see any reason why you should not be able to take that Integra. An H22 in an EX is a pretty good setup especially since you will be using the 75 shot. Good Luck.

If you want to get off the line fast dont hit the bottle in first gear wait to activate it after your in second gear...New clutch, slip hard, doesnt matter, that kind of power is going to spin..Make sure though when you launch you still slip it hard..With your set-up i can see you running mid-low 12's but that pushin it man...I got a buddy with the same mods. as your opponents car and he runs 12.2@116 so watch yourself... but goodluck and be safe..

Well, I've actually had your probable race. Except the H22 75 shot nos'd civic was in a hatch and you have a coupe; And I was a full weight + tools 98 JRSC GSR at only 8psi.
It could be a closer race than you think. Off topic you'll look worse if you lose because the JRSC cars aren't expected to be real powerhouses especially in drag racing, and your car is expected to be a monster.
But here was the rundown of what happened to me:
Me 8 psi JRSC ----- Nos'd H22 hatch
1.946 ----- 60ft ----- 2.382
5.593 ----- 330ft----- 6.122
8.686 ----- 1/8 ET ----- 8.980
79.28 ----- 1/8 MPH ----- 86.78
13.558 ----- 1/4 ET ----- 13.496
97.94 ----- 1/4 MPH -----103.29
This wasn't my best run of the day either. But if you examine the slip you can see that his car had bad traction off the line because he didn't have the best tire. You can also see that his MPH shows that he had the power advantage. My front tires were accidentally run extremely flat which optimized my off-the-line traction but it really sandbagged my car and ended up giving me a shitty 1/4 MPH.
My set-up is now at 10psi and it seems a little faster...no 1/4 mile times yet because my local track closed, but my 1/8 mile runs are better.
You could win and probably should win but I'd need more info on both cars and drivers to make an accurate pick. PPS my race was decided by reaction time.

let me guess your car was a gutted eg! i built a ek w/ jrsc on a gsr and full interior we had nitto 555r dr'''s on the car and could only muster a 13.99@101mph wit major wheel hop cause the owner had shady suspension on the car! you'd be better of wit nitrous on your car!

ok.. let me give you the set up here..if anyone here knows uniontown pa i went into auto zone and guess who pulls in.. the teg.. i just kind of ignore him at first walking tward my 93 accord ex..and walks over and says "when are you going to run ur junk"..dude is soooo redneck..lol.. i do respect his ride though it is nice.
anyway.. im like look im 15 minutes from home.. how many lbs of boost are you pulling.. he says 6-8 depending on how cold it is outside.. well f.y.i its cold as hell in pa right now so there you have it.. im saying 8.. so hes like you wanna ride in it.. i say sure and throw my new rotors in my car and hop in his ride.. we take off.. ***** a mean bitch off the line but after 7000 grand hes done..and 3-4th gear really didnt impress me.. my cousins eg coupe has a gsr with a vortec sc and it would pound this teg.. i mean kill it dead.. ANYWAY.. I TOLD HIM I WILL BE BACK IN 20 MINUTES.. BE HERE.. so i go get my ride..now since its wintertime im running 195/60/r15s on some steelies..i dropped my tire psi down to 28lbs from 32. and made it back in time just as he started to pull out.. so we go to the ames in uniontown theres a red light there with a good qt mile run.. yea he spun but we got off the line about the same he did get around a 2ft lead.. my second gear shift was a little lagy.. i bounced rev limiter.. my 3rd gear is awsome..flawless shift and i pulled ahead by a bumper in the top of third shifted to 4th and it was over..
he asked me when i sprayed... i told him to look in the back....hahahaha only the brackets baby.. i asked him if he wanted me to go get it.. with a **** eating grin on my face.. im a very passive person.. i try not to speak to much in person.. but man silent vengence is bliss.. better luck next time..
thanx for the support guys.. **** on the bottle with good warm pressure.. 12.9s on slics..all day.. this was the first time i really got to hammer on it against another car.. i like it..im going to put around 1000 miles on it before i spray.. i just did head work but i just want to make sure shes reliable first..i just did the swap a few days ago.. ive had the h22 for months just building it..(headwork) extrude hone does pretty clean work.. i like it.. i should of taken before and after pics.. ive been thinking of buying a long block and building/sleeving it for boost..
all depends on if i get this new job at ford... service writer..for ford you make good money..cost alot to fix junk..hahaha
