try running sea foam (1/2 through brake booster line into intake manifold and 1/2 poured into gas tank)

well have u tried driving on a whole tank withouth the downshifting? cuz if u downshift and let go of ur clutch = high revs which total = poor gas mileage. cuz i did it on a bmw and they have the guage that tells u how much gas u using, and its always at the lowest end when i downshift soooooooooooooooo ya

well i just changed my oil about 100 miles ago. As far as complete tuneups, havent had once since we bought the car. We bought the car with 8k miles, now it has 17k miles. I have eliminated my downshifting completely, unless goin down hill. Maybe its time for a tune up or check up?

I believe your injectors shut off when you downshift to high revs (overun vacuum), the car knows you've downshifted and wouldn't want to waste gas either.

take out your spark plugs and look at them. It could also be you're driving habits... Stop and go much?

when i bought my GSR, i used to have to stretch to get 25mpg out of a tank. after changing fuel filter, running some redline fuel system cleaner, adjusting the valves, correcting the cam timing, and correcting the ignition timing, i'm up to 27.5 mpg on the last tank. i checked today for the first time since november and my tires were down to about 23psi (i really don't care about wear since they're junk tires). now i've got them all up around 40, so we'll see how much of a difference it makes. i haven't even changed cap, rotor, plugs, or wires yet.

get the car running right and your fuel economy should be
