tonight as i was going to my friends house, my abs light came on 3 times, for about 2 seconds each time, and when it did my clock and everyhting dimmed, then when i got to my friends house, and tried to start it about 20 min later, it wouldnt start, it started and then died, so i started and pushed the gas a couple of times and it finally started after about 8 times of that. So i drove to get gas, and the shut if off agian at his house, went to leave, and it wouldnt start again. Finally got it started and drove home and the abs light and clock dimmed again, anyone have any ideas? i cant figure it out, maybe a bad battery ar alternator, all i did to the car myself is put my deck in and a playstation 2. it is a 97 superhcharged GSR, formally owned by tarzan(ht member), stock internals, jackson racing, jackson vtec controler, jackson boost retard controller. Any suggestions will be highly apreciated, just bought the car 5 days ago, IM SCARED

Check your grounds

 

i checked my grounds, EVERYWHERE, i think it is the ignition swithc, when i trun my key on the second position where all teh gauge lights should light up(as in battery, check engine, abs, ETC), they dont, so i took the panel off my ignition, and on the end oppsoite of the key slot, there is a plastic switch with 2 or 3 wires coming out, they call this a ignition switch, as far as i know, you tap it with a screwdriver a couple times, the lights come on, fuel pump comes on, it works, so i wish there was a better way to check this to be sure, but i just need one, if someone has one for sale, that will for sure work, let me know, if not just give me your suggestions

 

sounds like you got it licked, i havent seen that happen before. Make sure you check the pinfits at that connecter before you buy the switch, good luck.
