My friend and I replaced his EGR Valve today because he failed inspection and that is what the cel code said to replace. after we replaced it the car starting smoking really bad at first but went away after a few minutes. however the car idles really rough now and it seems as if you could still smell some bad fumes. any ideas?

 

EGR valve? I was under the impression that Integras dont have an EGR valve... Hrmm.

If you replaced that and now its jacked up... then it has to be that part or something wrong with the installation of it.

 

Yeah sorry it isnt in integra, its a mazda 626. I just figured id post in here. Mods if you would like to move feel free.
