What ZC motor? If your talking about a DOHC ZC, make sure you get a obd1 version and then its just a direct bolt in. You can use any d-series tranny and clutch/flywheel combination. If you get the Hydro ZC tranny you will have axle hell - since they are really hard to fine. The hydro tranny has the same gear ratios as the S20 92-95 SI. Id recommend using the 92-95 EX/SI or 96-00 EX tranny - save you alot of trouble and some money.
If you get a obd0 motor, you need a obd1 dizzy, fuel injectors, and a few other misc things.
The wiring harness on the jdm dohc ZC is for a RHD car, so it wont work. However you can use your DX wiring harness - its plug and play.
For the ECU, you will need to use a ZC ecu, however a DX will work if you increase the fuel pressure a little. Or you can run uberdata/neptune/hondata etc. You can get away with using a LS ecu, but it runs really rich.

Listen to my shpeal and tell me what's up please. I bought a car with swap in it it just wasn't hooked up. Ok i bought 91-93 LS axles and they fit perfect. I have an SI ecu it seems to work better than the LS. The problem i'm having is i don't know what year the engine is, and i'm using the stock 88 dx wiring. The engine is a DOHC zc. The fuel injection is already hooked up for MPFI and it all seems good. It idles fine and what not. But now it won't rev past 5,000 and when i put it in gear and begin to engage the car studders a bit then dies. The ecu is flippin all sorts of codes too, when the key is turned it flips 10. But when the car is on it was flippin 8, 9, 12, 14 and 16. Last time it tried it only flipped 8 and 12 and 16... Not sure what all it needs but i think some of the wiring isn't hooked up right and apparently i need a crankshaft sensor. Any help would be cool. Thanks
