my airbag engaged in an accident a while ago, need to replace it. do i need to replace the sensor as well? or just the airbag is fine?

make sure you replace your impact sensor or sensors as well.

 

so how do i tell if the sensor has been triggered? when buying from junkyard?...

As long as the airbags are intact from the car your pulling the sensor from the have not been triggered
