im planning to run a d16y8 long block on my d16z6 tranny..what do i need??i have the complete d16y8 long block....

you'll need the flywheel and cluthc for that matching tranny.

You can run wires for vtec and hook them to a vtec controller or switch..
Or get a vtec ecu and pin the wires into the ecu clips..

Why run a hdyro tranny??
