Default $99 craftsman low profile jack

I was just looking on sears website at jacks and came across this new jack I haven't seen before. Its aluminum/steel. Its not that light at 55lb but it has the same specs as the HF jacks. 1.5 ton, 3.75"-18.5" jack height.

I just picked one up. I'm not concerned about weight as I don't move them around much but at the moment I don't have a jack that can fit under my car.

Sale ends tonight. Regular price is $120

I bought one of these a few months ago, after having destroyed two of the Harbor Freight jacks. It's a bit more stout than the all-aluminum ones, but it's good enough for daily use and it's worth the $100 on sale. I can tell you although heavier, it's damn sight better quality than the HF ones.

However, keep your eye peeled for the next one up the food chain. It only weighs 44 pounds (versus 55), lifts 2 tons (versus 1.5) it's mostly aluminum (instead of a lot of aluminum), and it goes on sale on occasion (especially to Craftsman Club members) for about $150-160. - G

that jack is freakin sweet, i got it for christmas and it works great at lift my 2k lb civic off the ground. Only a couple of pumps and the whole side is off the ground. Plus its a craftsman so if it breaks, you could probably take it back and they can give you a new one. If they refuse, just talk to the manager and complain a bit and they'll probably hook you up. Just my $.02
