Okay

First off, you're going to want to do a MPFI swap. Get a different intake manifold... Either a A6 or a Y8 or Z6 it doesn't matter whihc, just dont' use the d15b2 or the d16y7 IM.

You'll want to swap your tranny/clutch/flywheel over to the y7 block and it will drop right in.

Do the MPFI wriing and get a pm6 ecu and you'll be set.

It will be a very straight forward swap. Just use your stock harness, do the dpfi-> mpfi swap, and then for the "obd2 to obd0" part of it just hookup only the sensors that you have plugins for. Pretty simple.

from what I understand all D's use the same mounts, and all d's can use d transmissions. all d's use the same size flywheels. only diffrence is the friction surface for the clutch. some are lighter\heavyer.

theres obd0 d's, 88-91. obd1 92-95 I think. then 95+ obd2.

for you to use that d16y8 RIGHT. is to convert to obd1 using a harness adapter, I find the adapter easyest. Takes alot of the pin changes out. if you got it complete itle make it easyer. OBD1 dizzy, obd1 injectors, obd1 o2(4wire) and thats it really.

Is the CRX a DX??? if it is, ur going to have to convert to MPFI witch is EASY. just a little bit of wiring and pin changing, like 2 I think.

You are wrong on several things. Not ALL D's are the same. There is the d16a1 that came out of the 88-89 integras and there mounts/trannys/ wont match up.

88-89 trannys have smaller clutch discs and the surface area on the flywheel is also smaller. Not to mention the spine issues w/ 88/89 90-91 and then 92-95, and then above.

The motor he is lookin at is a d16y7. It is COMPLETELY ******* POINTLESS to change it to obd1. He is going to gain absolutely nothing from the upgrade. It is basicly the same damn motor as a d16a6 ingoring a few things. sohc non-vtec.

and it is actually 6 wires(at the ecu) you need to change for the dpfi to mpfi swap.

Don't post **** if you have to "think" about it.

mpfi swap, obd0 dist, obd0 injectors, a6 intake manifold, his stock tranny/clutch/flywheel and some wires and he is done. **** going to obd1.

D16Y7
1593cc
106hp@6200rpm
103tq@4600rpm
9.4:1 compression rate
75mm bore
90mm stroke
sohc
non-vtec
obd2
1996-2000 Civic DX/LX/CX
REdline 7100rpm

That's with stock ecu/intake manifold just by changin to a si intake manifold you'll gain something.
