Default Engine Mounts-Who makes a Good Set???

I just wanted opinions on the major brands like: HCP, HAS, PLACE RACING, ETC
- I have the Old Hcp Mount Kit which does its job it but the freaking engine sits soo low to the ground I had to raise the the car to keep my Headers,Tranny, and Oil pan hitting dips, speed bumps, driveway, debris on the road, any inperfection in the road my freaking engine will hit. I think these mounts suck d**k.

My question is which company makes a mount kit that sits a Doch engine high enough to clear the road without compromising hood clearances need input before buying a new Kit

my ls with hasports has no clearence issues so far. when i put the b20 in with a header i still dont think that there will be any problems. my mounts are very hard, so if you dont like vibration dont use hasport.

u are a fool if u think their is any difference between hasport mounts and the mounts u see on ebay. they are the same material but from a different seller and ignorant people like u buy into the name like every other part on the market. did u know that obx cams are the same as skunk2 stage 2 ? why is this ? its because they buy from the same company that makes them.

also they are auctions that have no reserve on them. if u are patient and look for them they are around.

binding axles,
rubbing hood
Clearance issues
poor mount inserts
oh and.... NO WARRANTY

Just because something is copyed doesnt mean its built the same way..

Do you have any direct experience with both ebay mounts and good mounts..?? prolly not..I do..

my friend bough those ebay mounts tryin to save some money ..
The motor sat crooked..The hood wouldnt shut..It sat to far foward..THe axles were binding..and they broke under a power shift..And because they didnt come with a warranty he was fucked...

He then bought azracemachine mounts and has them for over 1 1/2 years now...
With no problems ..And even if they ever do break they are replaced no quesions asked..

haha yeah i was on stock axels with Energy suspension inserts and Falken Azenis on gs-r rims. 1.5L turbo with y8 manifold turbo edit tuned. i never snapped ONE axel and i had perfect launches every time. i have yet to brake an axel or have any problems with the inserts. u have fun owning your credit card ho-me. props to you and anyone who thinks theirs anything special about "AHAHAHa at your prices" sport mounts.

saying X mounts will brake everytime is ignorant, because his friend had some bad luck putting his mounts back on the right way doesent mean his outcome will be everyones.

such stupid remarks make me mad its like saying because we all drive hondas all our distributors WILL go at 145k like mine did on the old motor. everything is different.

I agree 100% but when you buy off ebay you run the risk.
you dont know where the mounts where made.
Thats the thing. With brand name you know someone put time/research into them.
With ebay mounts someone in there garage could have made them.

Like hasport they are mass produced and are billet. cant go wrong with that.
I have heard horror stories of ebay mounts and praise storys.

so its hit or miss. and to each his own

My recommendation is that you just buy the Hasport ones due to warranty that is proven to be standed behind.

I have hasports in my crx and still have very decent ground clearance. I think they viberate most when they are new. Once you've got some miles on them and the polyurethane lossens up a touch, the vibration tends to go away over time.
