Default Sway Bars

I will be installing sway bars soon on my 89 CRX. I am looking mainly at the Eibach 22mm and Suspension Techniques 7/8". A few questions:

1) Can anyone comment on either of the brands (or reccomend any other brand of sway bar) - as far as build quality and fitment (I will be running a Thermal 3" so fitment is key).
2) As far as CRXs go (in mainly AutoX competition) many guys either just upgrade the rear swaybar and leave the front stock, or some even remove the front one alltogether...this is to increase oversteer. Does anyone use both front and rear upgraded sway bars and what handling characteristics did you notice? Less, more oversteer etc.

Thanks!

-Seth

depends further on the whole setup, tires and spring rates mainly
in my old EF, I used to run a 90-3 integra front sway bar (22-24mm (can't remeber)), for the rear I went with ITR sway bar (22mm) this produced very neutral handling, running on street tires

Depends on what you plan on running.

I've heard the ITA CRX guys run stock front bar and ST/Eibach rear bar (they're the same size, i believe they're even the same design, in terms of adjustment).

ALL the FAST CSP CRX guys run a disconnected front sway bar and a ST/Eibach rear bar. Do not go to the ITR as it's a waste. There's no adjustability to the bar...which to me is lacking and when you begin upgrading your suspension, you want adjustability.

There was an article in a GRM magazine about a CSP prepped CRX that they tested. They had three drivers (one was a national champion) and sent the car through an autocross course. The owner had ST rear bar , stock front bar. They ran a few runs and did minor adjustments to the suspension geometry (ie. camber, toe in/out) then when they disconnected the front bar, they gained the most noticable improvement.

With real world testing, I would say my car definitely pulls out of turns better with it removed, which improves lap times. I'll know how it works at higher speeds later this month.

I would go for another company but since I have my neuspeed tie bar I can only use a neuspeed sway bar.
Why is that? they paying you to only use neuspeed?

I like one thing of Neuspeed's.... the front upper strut brace... why? cause it doesn't get in the way of the motor.

I have a rear lower tie bar from neuspeed... don't notice the difference whatsoever. I would stick with Eibach or ST.. If you can get the neuspeed rsb cheaper than either the eibach or ST...then go for it, otherwise it's a waste.
