Default easy way to remove spoiler?

is there a easy way of removing the spoiler from a 97? would the only feasable way of doing this is to switch hatches with a non-type r model?

the easiest way would most likely be to unscrew the damn thing and take it off, but I dunno why one would do such a thing

No R spoiler = minus 25 ponies

LOL, I think he may be talking about the sticky foam gasket between the hatch and spoiler.

Simple green or WD-40 and some good ol' elbow grease seems to do the trick as mentioned in a recent thread.

it takes 5 mins, go for rangi job and undo the 4 bolts, then i got a small steak knife out and slowly cut through that **** as close to the wing as possible then slightly dampen a cloth with meths or spray the **** out of it with glass cleaner.... f u dont wanna do botch job then use a heat gun, comes off easy but leaves a small line... then jst cut and polish it. i filled mine with some little black plugs(as my car is black) but i decide to keep it off i may have them filled properly
