Default is it possible to put a type r lsd into a ls tranny

just wondering if it was cause I bought one with a type r lsd

nope, the ring gear doesnt fit, and even the GSR ring gear wont make it fit, but MAYBE a b16 ring gear will work. I wasted a few hundred dollars trying this because of some bad info I got here on HT, but now I am rocking a quaife LSD curtesy of Earl

If you have the trans, just look and see if it has a LSD.

yea the diffrential is see through and it looks like a gear driven lsd not like the phantom through the hole
