Ebay xenon headlight bulbs
Thinking about bidding on some of the ultra cheap hyper white bulbs. You can get a set of both hi/lo for <$20. I have friends that swear by them but I have a couple questions - are they really any better than regular bulbs and are they street legal?

A really great mod! Go to autozone or advance auto and pick up the house brand high beam bulbs and they'll work great! I love my 9005 conversion!

A blue coated bulb cannot possibly emit more light than a bulb without a coat. With that said, some bulbs do have that HID look but are no where near as bright as the real deal. However, the bulbs look cool, put out a cooler color and some even have a lifetime warranty. You can do the 9005 conversion with these as well if you want to get even more output since the ends are not dipped like the 9006's.

I second this, works great,Instead of moding the "ridges" inside the bulb though ,you cab get replacment sockets from autoparts store/junkyard, and cut/solder/heatshrink them in.There is a advantage with moding your stock sockets though,If your on a trip somewhere and a bulb goes out,you can pick up a 9006 and pop it in,if you change sockets I'd advise keeping a small file in ur glove box to file away tab if you need to,thats what I did.

My OEM bulbs make kind of dull yellow light (dirty connnections maybe?). I wanted something that makes a brighter white-ish light like these - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...36476. I've spent a quite a bit of money lately on my car so I was hoping to get these as a stop gap to last through the summer and then maybe buy some Silverstars. I just wondered if anyone here had tried them and what kind of life expectancy will I get?
