Hey guys...first off...i have a 96 LS with about 140k on it. My problem is that whenever i start it up in the morning when the engine is cold it makes kind of like a light whistling/howling wind noise until it warms up then it goes away and its really loud and noticeable....its hard to describe but if anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it. Also if this isnt a developing problem...then i wont worry about it i'd just like to know what it is. Thanks in advance.

 

engine stock?, modified?, where is the noise coming from, etc.....details man.

 

not completely stock...i've got a K&N filter, intake, and a muffler..thats about it...and the noise is coming directly from the front of the car somewhere....

 

It's probably a belt. Check the belts.
