Ok, There has been a lot of postings for this mini me set up. I've seen all kinds of different information and combinations. So I'm gonna throw this out there!
I have a 1991 hatch (STD) D15 producing a pittiful 70HP in it's prime.
"Who knows how little it is producing now!"
So,
One how much on average would the mini me swap run me $$ ?
Verses putting in another motor.
Two, What components do I need to do the mini me swap on my motor?
I've gathered that there are 2 heads that I would gain the best from, the D16Z6 or the D16y8. And that the D16y8 is the better of the two heads?
So what else?
Any one feel free to shed any knowledge on the subject.
I'm all about learning! Also any other suggestions on other ways to improveing HP, such adding a different intake and throttle body.
Any way all are welcome to poke, prode and suggest!

Id say the y8 head is better... but harder to find and more expensive.. my d16z6 head is doing fine now, but dont expect anything ground breaking in terms of power. Although, my current setup is causing me too much problems, oil is leaking like crazy.. so ive decided to get another d16a6 and build that up.. but im not gonna do another minime.. yes Vtec is cool to have and all, but i feel that stock d16a6 is capable of the same amount of power if not more.. remember.. Honda never intended a Vtec head to be mated to a non Vtec bottom end.. so doing this might or might not cause a lot of problems.. the minime setup takes a lot of fine tuning to squeeze the power it is capable of, the engine itself will be under a higher risk of failure.. but its good power, just not worth it in my opinion.. im getting a newer d16a6 with a JG head soon..
