My 1994 integra is making a strange whiny noise while I am driving and this noise only occurs when the car is in gear. If I press the clutch in or put the car in neutral, the noise stops. Im not sure if this is a result of a bad tranny or something else. I can also hear this noise when i downshift. It can be described as a whiny humming sound that increases slightly when I accelerate.

Does anyone have a clue what the problem is?
