Default searched: 88 crx lowering spring

Im debating on which lowering springs i want to go with- Skunk2 or Tein. This car is just a daily driver, so i just need it to be lower. I dont want coil-overs, but if they are the better choice then ill go with them.

So on w/ the year of my crx. I know the lca's are the reason why i wouldnt be able to fit 89-91 shox, but when looking at the spring applications all i see is only for 89-91. wats up with that? 89-91 springs are diff. as well? Any info. is appreciated. TIA

You can do a small mod to make the car closer to an 89-91 by simply replacing the rear LCA's with the newer ones. That way you get the updated version of the shocks and springs too. There may be something that you should change up front-check with the parts department. By doing this and replacing the bushings in the rear arms you will have a renewed suspension in the back at least. As for spring choice-the GC or Skunk kits can be tailored to your needs or you can go with H&R, Neuspeed Sport or Eibach Prokit springs on your choice of shocks. I only use Koni-so I'm biased. Some will suggest other brands. Get the best you can afford.

Need more input drop me an e-mail.

I dont need to change/fix anything to make it closer to 89-91s, so i dont see a point in changing somthing out if it works fine, i will only do this if i have to in order to fit some springs on there.

Im hopin that 89-91 are the same. Since one of my other cars is an 88 STD HB lowered on goldline springs. If goldline makes springs that fit on a 88 then tein and skunk better.

One neat thing about the 88 can use ITR type suspension...that would be why I wouldn't change the LCA.

88 springs are no different then 89-91. any lowering spring will do.

if youre still on stock springs, i recommend eibach prokits. no radical drop, i rarely ever scraped with them, but fills the fender gap just fine. there is a very noticable stiffness increase, but not really that bad in the rear so its still comfortable. find em used for cheap. H&R or neuspeed sports are also recommended.
