Im Ace and i was a ricer for about 3-4 days once.
the clears cameout for my 98 gsr when i had it and i bought them and put them on
then someone else got them at my school so i took mine off and sold them. now i look back and dont know what i was thinking to buy them in the first place. another time i bought some yellow hose to put in the engine bay, but never did...thank god. well thats my ricer story. thank god i saw the light!!

hello my name is chris.

i am...ahem uh was a ricer. i am a recovering ricer. i have been clean for about 6 months now.

when i first got my teg back in summer of 2000, the first thing i bought were the white-outs in the rear, clear corners for the front and an intake! it gets worse though, next i spent my tuition money for summer school to buy the mom gt2's in white, an obx intake, and an hks exhaust.

then my condition worsened, i became obsessed with mods, i next got the indiglo gauges, followed by this dumb-assed idea to paint my door handles and the plastic lip around the gauge cluster red (to match the car)!!!! i also have momo seat belt pads, and a little badge on the rear of my car that says "momo equiped."

so then i get all these ing stickers and on my windshield rear windshield and front fenders. guys, i am tellin you, i had it bad...and to top it all off \you all will love this\ i had a vtec badge on the rear of my car!!!! then i realized i needed help. i really needed help, i sold the rims, they were alright, but i sold everything and bought a yamaha r6, so now i am a squid (bike term which is the same as ricer) which is trading one habit for another.

but now i have seen the light, yes, i have taken all that off, except the tails, i sold my stocks so i have to keep them, but i have since installed a NX 50 shot, crower cams, and i just purchased my max-rev turbo kit this past monday...yea thats right, i have seen the light!!!! now in my reborn life, i bust *** on these riced out civics, accords and integras all day on the streets of atlanta.

i would like to say thank you to my family, for believing in me while i was going through that terribly embarressing time (embarassing them). i also want to thank eli, will, kareem, justin, farrick at nopi, and all of you for providing me with the support and inspiration i need to do something better with my life than rice. thank you all...i love you

 

hello........my name is luca.

I was what I'd like to call a recreational ricer.......

It all started with a Razo "style" shift **** I ordered from Summit Racing. What followed was mild case of subtle plantation of rice with the installation of hyper blue back up lights a red dome light and eventually ending in the nemesis of my disease.......Altezza's......not just the normal ones.....the "Skyline" Altezzas.......

My life changed one day while at a local shopping mall where I witnessed a support program called SOLO II..........I had seen the light!!! Now I am on the straight and narrow path towards full recovery. First step was selling my body kit and next are my 17" rims.....I'm on to a full life of future modifications dealing with pure performance first rather than aesthetics. I feel wonderful about myself. My quality of life has improved along with my social life. I can now hold my head high in public knowing that I overcame one of the great evils of mankind.

Please, let's all stick together a former addicts and help those unfortunate people still out there........

I am living proof that RICE can be overthrown. It starts by admitting you have a problem and then seeking help from family and friends. You'd be surprised how easily they will forgive you.

To everyone who helped me prosper through those tough times.....Thank you and I love you!!!

 

hi my name is David...and I was a ricer..I have been clean for about 5 months now....It all started off when I baught some y suspensiong for my 92 integra...next was painting the dash...than my car got keyed and I went out and accidentaly got a mexican paint job with grafix on the side...after that I got some gay gold wheels that were 22 pounds a piece.....I had flowmaster exhaust as well.....since than I have seen the light..I am now a proud owner of a 96 civic hb with a ls motor that as of right now is throwing a check engine light and is super loud because of the thermal 3in exhaust with a test pipe...I plan on being a import role model to others so that they as well can see the light

Hi, my name is Don and I.... Have lighted fuzzy dice and an exhaust with nothing to silence it! *sobs* I cant help it! I cant find an exhaust that wont restrict my airflow! The fuzzy dice are... I dont know!! *sobs harder*

dont you see its wasnt in rice when you were doin it
altezzas werent rice whe they first came out you were on their in dick
im sure most of you werent down with honda back in 96 or before....
so that makes you full bloodedb rice... most of you live in bfe parts of the country that still wouldnt know about streetracing if it wasnt for super street.....you thought you were the with no hubcaps and a powered by honda sticker.....get it right, you didnt wake up one day with a in ephiny....you just started biting off another style................the first step to recovery is admiting you have a problem..stop denying it

 

Thank god for these webistes......I was never a ricer......just brought up by the people on the web boards. You see it all started back in the day when I was 13 (i'm 16, almost 17 presently)......I stumbled across a web board of this sort and struck great interest in it. Ever since, I have been surfing them day in and day out.

Edit: People in my area need to learn about sites like these!!! I swear to you there are NO cars at my school whatsoever that people try to "hook-up" that are clean of altezzas. I need to go on rice patrol with a digicam and show all of you what I'm talking about! I feel like I'm an outkast in my area.....damn.....I wish I could be as cool as the people at my school who think that when you get an intake on an automatic civic you can beat Cobra's or even the kid who has a NA Supra who says once he gets intake and exhaust he will have 300hp..hahahahahaha!!!

isnt rice when u do stuff wrong? i mean, whats wrong with cocnentraing on making the outside of your car look good. I dont wanna race my car nor do i claim i do. rice is when you put a NOS badge on your car when u dont have NOS. or putting an acura type R badge on a GEO storm. or putting giant vinyl decals all over the car. but ridiculing people who have body kits, rims, and altezzas is a little harsh. some of us just want our cars to get looks instead of running 12s in the 1/4 mile. lighten up a little guys. after all, this is the appearance/cosmetic board of the site...

simply put, showing off cheaply what you don't have. false advertisement.
its when you flaunt your car into something that it isn't in a somewhat inexpensive way... with an attitude thinking its better... when its clearly evident that its not... honestly spending a bunch of needless money on bad taste? wannabe?

i.e.
-bunch of stickers that advertise stuff you dont have. (Type R stickers on a GS) (performance parts stickers IF you dont have the parts) unless your sponsored by them i'd understand.
-chrome hubcaps, what? u want someone to think your rich, a baller with those?? lol!!
-big ungly body kits and wings that serves no purpose on a POS CAR with NO power. you think you'd go faster with those on?
-fake altezza lights? (my opinion on this one) um.. dunno.. its just seems like a whole lot of money spent into cheaply made lights that try to imitate a luxury car. they are very poor quality lights. bad lighting, condensates, cheap material, a lot of money ($200-300). i'd give you props if you have real altezza lights fitted in. i see all sorts of cars with fake altezzas: civic, integras, mustangs, tercels, eclipes.. even Bimmers! really downgrades the car i think.

You guys got to be fukin jokin me! Did i just read someone say that 17's were rice? And body kits were rice? This is hilarious. honestly if your gonna say stupid sht like that, that will explain why your posting as an ex-ricer. Cuz you have no clue. To set a few things straight...if you dont like body kits...lips...rims...whatever...that doesnt mean someone else who has em is a ricer. Thats just personal preference. If you want all your sht JDM then your just jumpin on another bandwagon. Some things are played out by now like altezzas but guess what! Theres prolly a ton of cars right now rollin with em that will kick your *** bc b4 they got played out ppl LIKED EM! So now bc everyone has something your gonna ba and say their sht is slow bc of the look?
