[3G Integras w/ HIDs]
i just odered a philips HID kit today and it will be at my door in about a week or so. what bulbs do you guys recommend putting in your bumper signals to compliment the HIDs at night? i used to have clear lenses with superwhites on my NPB teg but i got pulled over for them so i just put it all back to stock but i still have the lenses and bulbs tucked away in my closet somewhere. i was thinking of putting back on my clear lenses and buying some Polarg Visual Amber bulbs so i wont get hasseled by cops but do amber bumper signals look good with HIDs at night? for some reason i cant really picture it in my head looking good.
I have an amber bulb for the signal and a hyperwhite for the sidemarker.
That's what I have. I just like the look of clears with a bright amber bulb in the front signal and a hyperwhite on the outside marker.
Looks really good. Besides I have tried alot of bulbs looking for a good white one, but they are just about all still have that brownish tint to them. My outside markers lights are made by Gigulaux.
damn that looks AWESOME!~
AVD23 are your bulbs 4300k? also i was just wondering do you guys with 6000k bulbs get hasseled by cops? i was planning on getting the 4300K philips kit but after i searched and saw pics of the 6000k kit it makes me wanna get them. i noticed that the 4300K has a white hue to it where as the 6000k has a blue/purple hue which "catches the eye" of cops you know?

I believe mine are the 4300K Philips HID's.. i got mine off a groupbuy about 6 months ago from Trevor @ VisualDynamics.ca .. they were 423.09 shipped, so i dropped all my plans and went straight for them, and let me tell you they are worth every penny. They are really blue when they're warming up and then turn into pure white with hints of blue at various angles... i love it. its not only an aesthetic mod its also for your safety at night.. definately a plus
I would recommend them to anyone, doesnt matter 4300K or 6000K... true HID is simply the way to go. period.

if you have any questions regarding install etc, just ask.

considering you have a type R, you could mount the drivers side ballast in a better location.. but this worked for me.. Not sure if this is applicable to your kit or not, but i had to put the rubber O rings from my halogen low beams onto the HID bulb base, in order for a snug stock fitment.. otherwise, they would rattle around..

Good luck

Are any of the HID kits legal? I live in PA and the cops are real ****** around my area!! Will I get pulled over for having them?
actually im pretty sure it is illegal..and only "legal" for off road or show purposes. basically puttin a part on a car , even if it is oem, which didnt come on the car is illegal if ive heard correctly.
