Hahaha, what's with the last picture???

Nice buy man. Those Ducatis look real nice in person - pictures just don't do them justice.

Mind if I ask how much you paid?

last pic is a my lawnmower blenny from my tank

paid $12000 before tax and lic, got them to include a 4-year ducati warranty ($800), so effecitvely $11200 + $800 and they threw in the vented clutch cover and tshirt. the service there is great though, i wouldn't buy anywhere else. had a battery problem, they helped me out right away!

my duc is geared differently, so it doesn't pick up as quickly off the line. once I get her up to about 3k+ she pulls really hard. but it's not all about straight lines

the way she corners is a world of a difference, you feel much more stable and spend more time cornering than you do thinking about the corner. on the 6, i had to actively think about the corner and lean into it, on my duc i move a little and the bike responds so much better.

I don't mind these, they're easier to work with. I need to pull the front off and retrofit my set of bixenons in when I finish it will be sweet

i'll take a vid and post it tomm, don't want to wake up people tonight

$13k out the door

I have about 75% of the cash, but decided it isn't a bad idea to finance it. i hvae a credit rating of 731 right now, with this loan it should help when i try to buy a house. i don't mind spending the money on interest if it'll boost that credit rating, 4.5% fixed isn't bad either!

I have to say, though, you need to get rid of that biposto seat and at least the rear footpegs...! It'll give it a much cleaner look.

Are you missing the airbox cover? I thought that part was always covered...

there's a reason I bought the bi, and it wasn't to get rid of the footpegs

:jealous: I think the new style is beautiful. So much more refined than the 916. Congratulations.

N/M...the 749/999 don't come with painted airbox covers. Still looks the ****, though.

Nice bike, its gonna cost you a fortune when you have to do anything to it....my buddy went from his 03 gsx-r 750 to a ducati 999 and he said the duck was a slug and that he would never buy another one again, he said its more comfortable but it feel way more like a sport touring bike that a super-sport bike...he said its feels alot heavier, which made it feel more stable but was nowhere near as fun to ride....still a nice bike though

edit: i LOVE those headlights .....
