hey im new in this.
i got a pioneer 1999 tape car stereo. I like to hook it up to my crx but dont know how. can someone point out how to do it or show me some tutorial on the internet?

The best way is to get a plug-in adapter harness
from a stereo installer like best-buy so you don't
have to cut up the original harness..

i would have to agree with him, that would be the best way, also if you want to, you can get the adapter at walmart too

 

go to your local circuit city and tell them you want a smart harness for a crx and one for a pioneer, and you will be set

 

or just bust out the sodering gun and take a stab at it. I just did mine the other night cuz i misplaced my old harness connector.

 

I just installed a Sony CD player/radio in my CRX. The radio in my dad's Civic died, so I gave him my OEM radio since I had the Sony lying around. Wiring harness? Nah, I just cut the Honda plug and rewired the damn thing. I used the same wiring diagram posted above as well as a Sony one I found on the internet. Easy as pie. I would've soldered and used heat shrink on the wires but it was too damn cold yesterday! Electrical tape will have to do for until it gets warmer.
