Default Code 4 on B16 please help.

I am throwing a code 4 on my 88 Civic Hb with a b16. The fires up fine but it won't go pass three grand and runs like absolute crap. Like it's lacking power. I haven't driven it I just tested it on neutral. What does code 4 stand for. I heard it's cps and someone said something about replacing the whole dizzy. Any help is appreciated.

OK I'll have to check my dizzy then. Do you know if a B18b1 dizzy will work on a b16a

i am leaning towards a bad ecu however. My ecu just burned one of the circuits and I bridged the burnt part with a wire. Car was running perfect before this so I will first replace my ecu before I eve check the dizzy.

my car started throwing a code 4 when the weather got cold. exact same problem where it would run and idle fine until hitting 3000rpm. i ended up replacing the brand new dizzy which was under warranty and it runs fine now. good luck.
