Grand Am Cup TSXs
I was looking at the results for the Daytona GAC race, and it doesn't even appear that any of the 3 TSXs there made the start. Were any of you guys there and know what happend? Also, I haven't seen any pictures of them...were the Stewart cars even there?
Just Curious. Thanks.

The cars never made it there. The shop I use to prep my car is the same one Tom Stewart uses to dyno his cars. Apparently he was scheduled to get the cars on the dyno sometime Monday or Tuesday but couldn't get the cars to run right with their Hondata systems.
Oddly enough the RSX won the STII class race.

TSX....Hondata...wha??? This is news to me. I thought Hondata didn't work on the TSX because of the DBW.

I also saw Roger Foo was running a RX-8 was there any buzz if his TSXs are going to be out for the next event??? Now that Acura is passing out big money to run there products again maybe we will see the swing back to Acura being the car to have.
I imagine there are other options, but if you use them you'll need to rig up a new throttle body and a cable and who knows what else. I guess this isn't much of an issue for a race car, but I was hoping to keep the DBW with a Hondata on my street TSX.

Not totally correct. The Kansai Racing TSX was there and ran every practice and qualifying session trying to get the car up to speed. Even when it came time to start the race, they were still working on it and came out to grid late and had to start dead last. The car only ran a small handful of laps and certainly was having problems. I also believe that one of the Stewart cars ran a couple of laps in the first practice session and that was it.
The RSX-R did not win ST (only two classes, GS and ST now). One of the Bill Fenton Motorsports RSX-R's finished 2nd to a TC Kline Z4.
As for Roger, I believe that since the TSX's weren't available/running he either rented a ride or was asked by SpeedSource to drive one of their RX-8's.

the TC kline car got DQ'd for fuel tank infractions I believe so that RSX was probably bumped to 1st.

I think the TSX deal completely fell thru for roger. Not positive on that but I think the TSX's are still gonna be ran, but with completely different drivers.

I did not know that. Thanks for the heads up.
They do however still list the Z4 as having won the race in the results on http://www.grand-am.com
