Well, i changed the tranny oil today...it was pretty clean (13,740 miles)...anyway, when I was filling it back up, i couldn't really see if it was even will the fill hole or not, so i just kept filling till some started overflowing...

Then I realized, it started overflowing with only 2 quarts...i didn't know what to do so i put in a little more of the 3rd quart, then stuck the bolt back in

its ok to have a little more than what's listed right? (its not like I used a whole extra quart, i put in just a bit more...)

I'm assuming its like when you change your motor oil, theres a little in the motor so it wont take the full 4.xx quarts...

 

how was your car jacked up? was it just the front? When I did mine I had the back slightly higher than the front so it all went in. You might want to do this just to top it off (yeah I know, pain in the butt ). How did you get at that fill hole? I had to use a hand pump thingie that my friend had.

 

Make sure the car is level....Also it may squirt some out after the 1st or 2nd bottle. It is not full however...Let it sit for a minute then keep filling until it comes out consistantly...Then you should be o.k.

 

yeah i figured since it was jacked up, it'd be off...i just poured it till it started running out a good bit, and plugged it...next time i'll have to put it evenly on jackstands...

i used this funnel with a long tapered tube that fit snugly inside the fill hole....basically resembled a beer funnel, except tapered at the end...worked nice, got it at pep boys
