what's with the rsx intake?
i don't know much about the rsx cuz i have a honda accord, but is there a reason that the intake faces towards the rear of the car instead of towards the front. After looking at the pics of the engine it seems like the most ideal location for the intake coming out of the manifold would be straight down to induct cold air...but hey...i don't know much about the rsx anyways...just curious about this
people tend to drive through large puddles of water and suck it into their engines. more than a few people hydrolock their motors each year with cold air intakes.
well the reason why it faces the other way is because the intake manifold is in the front. the hedders and intake manifold has switched places. there is a hole where the filter can breath fresh air. if i can find a pic i'll show the gap im talking about. the filter sits right on top of that gap.
There is actually a little snorkle that goes out from the bottom of the airbox that goes to an area right behind the grill, and gets cold air from there.
ahh i see now...not too bad of an idea...i'm sure the nerds at acura have it all figured out...so it's probably a good idea then
