Default timing belt

does anyone know if the timing belts for USDM and JDM are the same? i called my honda dealer for a new timing belt, and they said that their computers don't show whether it's for US or JDM versions, only the basic stats- 93 prelude VTEC. can anyone help me with some info? also, they said it costs $63.33. is that about right? my engine is an h22a1. thanks!

you're in the states, and you drive the h22a1, a USDM motor. It's the right one whether or not they are interchangeable.

the h22a1 is a usdm? i seriously did not know that. i thought the h22a series, whether it had numbers after it or not, were jdm. i'll be damned... but, if it is the right one, then my question is answered. thanks!

the H22a is the JDM motor and the H22a1 and a4 (for 5th gens) are USDM

Your car is a 93, so its a 4th gen. Order that one.

No, don't buy the kit. If I were someone replacing the timing belt, I would do all of the following at the same time.

I would:
Change the timing belt and balancer belt
Swap to a 92-96 H23 manual timing belt tensioner
Change the water pump
