Default yokohoma yk240 vs. falken ziex 512

I currently have the yokohomas in 195/55/15 and i love how they ride, awesome in the snow rain and dry. however because i am lowered it rubs alot and i wanted to get a smaller size maybe a 195/50/15 or a 205/45/15. i was wondering which tires would have the same kind of traction in snow and rain and treadlife of the yokohomas at a similar price but with a smaller sidewall. i just heard that the falkens were pretty good but after reading some forums on this site it has led me to think otherwise. so if anyone has any suggestions for tires please let me know. i have warranty on these tires from discount tires still so they said they would be willing to exchange the tires for me if they were the same price which was around $300ish. well thanks for looking

aren't the evs100's a better tire grip wise? I have the yk420's & they are OK I guess, they are decent for an all season.

yea i think the evs100 is better for a summer tire but i needed an all season tire that i could use year round also because im too poor to afford snow tires. the winters in colorado get pretty crazy sometimes so traction in snow is pretty important.

try this link, its a yokohama avid t4(same exact thing as the yk420) in the size you want, 195/50/15, yokohamas are far superior to the falken 512s, i work at discount tire and we have had a lot of people come back and complain about the 512s and RARELY anybody with the yk420s. go back to your discount tire and they should be able to order that size for you if they dont have it in stock. if they said they couldn't get the yk420s in that size, either ask for the avid t4s or the salesman was just being lazy and didnt want to search for you

edit: the prices listed below will be cheaper than in store. but when you pay shipping/mounting/balancing it turns out to be equal pricing.
