Default muffler question

i have a 92 civic Lx i would like to know if I were to remove the cadalatic converter
and just have a racing exhaust of some kind, would the car still run right ?
(i would like to make the car louder since i have little money to invest in engine upgrades)

1) We would call that rice around here
2) Wrong Forum
3) Yes the car would still run 'right' but you can kiss emissions good bye
4) Why on God's name would you want it to be just louder? If you can afford a 'racing exhaust' you can more then afford a simple modification or two that is more beneficial.
