Stupid question about '94 rear seats =]
hey guys i was wondering if there was any way that i could use the bottom part of the rear seat off a '94 gsr sedan on my '95 gsr coupe. i was hoping that there'd already be a thread on this, but i couldnt find anything.
anyway, i'm asking because i constantly find myself as a "taxi driver" for family members because apparantly, none of them wanna invest in a car of their own, bummer. in any case, the plastic tray in the middle of rear coupe seats tends to be an annoyance to whichever aunt or uncle ends up sitting there, so my mom wanted to know if my old '94 sedan rear seats would fit. i thought, good question haha
thanks in advance for helping a noob

I'm guessing no, but since you already have the seat why not try it? Just don't get caught with 3 in the back without enough seat belts to go around...

it's ok, in NY only driver and passenger need seat belt, passengers in the back are usually overlooked haha.
well, a friend of mine tried it for similar reasons and he [not surprisingly] said the bottom part of the rear seat was too long, but for some reason he swore he knew someone that made it fit. maybe that person just used itr seats? i dunno, i'm just trying to get a general consensus

As far as I know, the sedan rear seat lower half is wider than the coupe rear lower half.
Also that plastic tray is there for a reason, because the car was only meant for 4 people, not five. Honda didn't want to add a bunch of weight and bulk to the rear seat backs by having a middle seatbelt, so they put the plastic tray in there in order to classify the car as 4-passenger instead of 5-passenger.
Carrying 5 people in an Integra coupe is not safe. I would suggest not endangering your friends' lives by carrying more people than you have seatbelts for. If you have more than 4 people going somewhere, just take another car. It will be more comfortable that way anyway.

i totally agree, i really do try to avoid taking 3 passengers in the back, but sometimes i find myself forced into that position.. so i'm asking if there's any way to do this just for those rare occasions.
