Default Tranny Probs

MY 97 accord Lx is an automatic and everytime i get up to about 40 to 50mph it flies up to 3000 rpm then back to 2000 and finally shifts, but really hard. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what to do about this! I still have a warranty on my car for free check up for atleast 6 more days, I was maybe thinking of going to a honda dealer and seeing if they know about it!

Well if it's still covered by a warranty get it checked out, duh, that's what they are for.

it sounds like your tranny is slipping. take it to the dealership before its too late and your car is undrivable.

Yup.... take her to the dealer and use that warranty while you've still got it. I would recommend changing the tranny fluid with some genuine Honda fluid as well.

My 96 accord was doing that, few months later the tranny went out.

take it to the dealer right away before they try and lag and do little things and your warranty runs out.. check the fluid level and make sure your using Honda ATF... but yeah take it into the dealer since its still under warranty
