need help on F22A1 and F22A4.

Default need help on F22A1 and F22A4.

Hello everyone....My 90 honda accord engine just had it..So now im looking for another engine. I found one but engine number is different from my car it has a f22A4 and the engine that they wanting to sell me is an F22A1...Can anyone tell me what the different between this engine. All I want to do is to get my v ehicle back on the road...

f22a4 and f22a1 are nearly the same engines with the difference being in the exhaust manifold and intake manifold which the f22a4 (and f22a6) are better performers than the f22a1. I believe the f22a4 was taken from 90-91 ex models and the f22a6 came out of the se and 92-93 ex models .

Bumped a few horses and a couple ft/tq...overall it's the exact same engine .

Since the manifolds are different will it be a problem for the shop to swap it. Is it also a problem with the CPU?
