Pulley - AEM or Others...quick tech
I already tried searching in both forums,
However...I was wondering what any of your expirences have been with the AEM pulleys; and if you have them installed, which ones did you think were worth it.
I was thinking of picking up the crank and alternator pulleys but was afraid it would lower the output of my alternator to undesireable levels...does anyone run a decent system in their car with the alternator pulley?
Is this mod even worth the effort?...(honestly now)....
Thanks!

oh, i was also asking because I have a friend that could get both crank and alt for $30, with belts...so keep that in mind.
Also, if someone could also comment on the fact that the harmonic balancer is removed and any negative effects about that..it would be much appreciated.
Thanks Again!

AEM pullies are worthless. Removing the PS belt adds 3 whp and that's far better than adding underdrive pullies. You'll get maybe 1 whp out of them along with other headaches, AEM pullies do not include the crank pulleys so harmonic balancer is not a concern.
$30?? what are they hot?
