Alright in anticipation of Expo I needed to get a seat to replace my stock pos GSR leather. Got it a good deal from my buddy Andrew (stealth 95 GS R) as kind of a bandaid until I can afford a Recaro Speed... I still need Cobalt pads, Fastbrakes rotors (already got the ITR calipers ) comptech rear sway, blah blah blah.

Anyways. The seat has two small tears in the Alcantara along the edges of the bolstering, other than that the seat is perfect. My question is A: if it is possible to just have one portion, i.e. one bolster, reupholstered? and B: how much would it be for just one bolster? The stitching appears to look like it is possible. I searched and someone posted in Appearance forum to look to pay $800-$1000 for the whole seat to get recovered (from GSR to ITR).

I know that the Alcantara is expensive just wondering about some specifics since I can't get a quote from a shop unless I bring the seat in. Thanks alot

 

get in touch with the usa distributor of Alcantara and see if they can get you the material. then have someone stitch it for you.

Thanks alot. Any idea how much to get though? Because I know it is expensive so I don't want to order that much more than I need.

no idea. you can always take your covers off and measure it L x W

 

bah, its a seat, sit in it and drive.

BTW, when I saw the title I thought I should read it and show it to Bill, then I read the person who made the topic.
