Default Help the newbie again please...!

ok i just found a b16a and it comes with the transmission, ecu, distributor, intake manifold, alternator, and a/c power steering pump (which i dunno what that is hope someoen can tell me) all for $1450, but without transmission it costs $945 i was wondering if i can just buy it without the transmission for $945 and then buy my own transmission? would that be cheaper and how much cheaper? thanks for any help! thanks all

No, definetly buy it with that tranny. definetly, youll be happier in the long run and you dont have to take the time to track one downand have it shipped. However if you have one close for cheaper and its a b16 tranny go for it.

At hmotors I priced everything out that we would need for the b16 in our cars (about ordered it but never got the money, so I just got my ZC in from hmotors today, in tip top shape. hmotors . Also another to Steve @ hmotors for incredible customer service ) and it came out to be around $2100.

This was the complete swap package + linkage + mounts + subharness + shipping (which is around $200 to southeast Idaho).

As for power steering pump just unhook that. The SiR's in japan came with power steering. Power steering is overrated anyways.

400 is along the upper range for a used d16, don't get me wrong, i love the d series, but i would only pay that if it is a new rebuild, etc. maybe a vtec motor or something, but its a little high for something with miles on it.

I'd pay that for a y8 or something, not an a6.
