ok i FINALLY figured out what was wrong...my distributor is almost shot, so i need a new one. i just need an oem replacement...i talked to a guy at a parts store and he said there were 2 kinds...a 4hu and something else...what is this? does it matter? i have a 95ex with a 1.6 vtec what kind of dis. do i have?

also, another thing was my plug wires were shot too....will any standard replacement work? what about an 8mm size? i was planning on ngk but i really dont care, im gonna pair them up with either platinum or iridium plugs, please reply, thanks

I believe that there are hitachi, and TAK (or some **** like that). Either way I don't think it matters (I changed out ICMs tak to hitachi it ran fine), used different dizzies on different cars.

What's wrong with your dizzy?

Oh yeah for wires get some NGKs blues. Used it on couple of cars work as good as factory ones. Don't buy non of the generic **** in autozone.

 

ok..thanks man...but whats a dizzy? lol they basically told me the rotar, and cap were shot, and something else in the distributor could be bad..but i cant remember what? im gonna call them tomorrow and find out... but whats a dizzy? lol
