Aluminum strut bars vs carbon fiber
Which would be better? I am thinking the aluminum would be stronger and last longer than a carbon fiber one...

whoah, thats an ignorant overstatement. carbon fiber is NOT stronger than steel. its a composite and is very different than metal. carbon fiber strength is only in its weave, not in any other direction. very apples and oranges. please dont ever repeat this dumb statement again.
im just doubting they even used REAL carbon fiber to make that strut bar. if properly made, the advantage is weight. my neuspeed bar is made of aluminum, and pretty damn light as it is. there wouldnt be any advantage if it was any lighter.

plus look at those brackets, thin mild steel and poor design. i have a friend with ebay strut bars with the same brackets, and they just bend over if you take a corner hard.

That carbon fiber one isn't even real carbon fiber anyway. You can tell by the picture that it is just a sticker with a faux CF pattern.
Better yet, waste your money on something more active and useful than chassis bracing.

This statement is not entirely true. The whole idea behind tying the strut towers together is to increase chassis rigidity. Deflection is you enemy and carbon fiber does an amazingly good job at resisting deflection. I would look at the links connecting the bar to the mounting flange more than the material of the bar. Using those types of connections do nothing to limit the towers from parallelagraming.

YES it is... Weight VS Weight CF is stronger...
Carbon fiber is stronger then steel in certain applications.. Torsion being one.. Driveshafts are a prime example.

With carbon it greatly depends on the lay-up. You have to mix the different fibre correctly and lay it correctly to get it to do it what you want it to do, and I wouldn't trust any ebay bar to have done that, assuming it was real carbon. Torsionally, it is amazingly strong, but not the most impact resistance.
Just to give another example, I'm sure some of you have ridden mountian bikes before. Giant, among others, makes a Carbon Hardtail race bike with a lifetime warrenty. They say that it will take a harder impact than your aluminum frame would (I spent time talking to them about it when we first got the info on it), and if you do wrap it around a tree, err, shatter it on a tree, they send you a new one.

the link that was given via EBAY, the carbon is fake and it's actually aluminum, and the other one is a real deal made MEGAN racing! if only if the carbon is real it'll stand out for looks and lightweight!
i was using son cheap strut brace like the one you look on ebay, and i have broke them in front and rear!
just where it bolt in the car have bend like \ /
its too tinny to handle hard driving
and im pretty sure they is no carbon fiber in this carbone fiber strut brace!
i would only trust something who look like this one

the only thing i dont like about Neuspeed is the bar is not adjustable for loose or stiffness. i rather waste my money on Autopower rollbar with a frotn cage welded.

Neuspeed bar is worth **** but bling when you have a cage. and even without a cage you really dont even need one really. go out to get a steelbar from junkayrd or your local scrap and take to muffler shop cut to fit and have tabs welded at each end and you got a more sturdy then neuspeed bar. it wont make that much of a difference.
