Default exhaust gasket question

Anyone know if the gasket at the collector is the same as the gasket at the axle back end?

I looked it up and the specs are 50-64mm, but there are two separate part numbers listed.

I think you answered your own question my friend

If a part has a different number, it's for a reason...because they are different parts from one another.

I'm asking because both specs are the same, 50-64mm... although they have different part numbers. I ask because I'm trying to finda "honda" part I can substitute for it since I can get more of a discount.

which one do you need?

the one at the header collector?

or the other end in the exhaust?

and is this for a jdm 2.5 collector or stock?

i believe the s2k donut will fit the header collector not sure of the part #

If it's a "USDM" header, it is indeed the same size as the gasket at the axle-back end. If you're looking for a Honda rather than an Acura part, ask for the donut from a '99-'00 Civic Si.

Exactly what I was trying to cross reference on online stores. thank you.

Anyone know if the springs & bolts are the same size as the ones on the Si? Online sites do not list their lengths or anything, and again part numbers are different for the bolts on the collector & axle back ends...

The springs and bolts should also be the same size, since the manifolds and cats are extremely similar.

I'm gonna go ahead and order the Si parts. I'll post back on this thread so others will know too.

I've realized that OEM exhaust bolts are an extreme pain in my *** because they are a bit short with the spring in place. After fighting it with vice grips and a bar to compress the spring, I decided to go with aftermarket (longer) bolts, washers, and nuts to do the job. I did notice that the parts store near my house carries OEM replacement exhaust bolt/spring/nut kits which are the same size, but as I stated before, not long enough, and not worth my pain & anguish.

Although I love putting new OEM parts on my car every time I do stuff to my car, exhaust stuff will rust or get seized anyway, so I believe this isn't too much of a sacrifice.

I also replaced my gaskets with autozone gaskets which completed the job with no leaks at about the 1/3 of the price of new OEM gaskets.
