Lowering my teg
I have a 94 integra ls, and I was thinking about lowering it, but I have no clue where to start. First off, how much would it cost? Where can I get a decent set of springs? Is it pretty easy to do on my own? Are there any problems with lowering a car? Thanks for any help.
First off, before you do anything search around this site to see what people have done, determine you goals on what you want to do with your car. Do you plan on auto-x, road racing, or is it just your daily driver. You could find some goood deals from our sponsors for springs, shocks, or coilovers. If you plan on doing the work yourself, there is an article on team-integra.net that tells you how to swap springs. The only problems i could think of that you can have from lovering is that if you drop the car alot, you might need a camber kit, and will need to get an alignment after you lower your car.
Here's the link on how to do the install http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=494

That is an awesome article, it looks like something I could handle myself. As for the other questions, I use my car as a daily driver and the only reason I would want to lower my car is for looks. I am not really sure how low I would want to take it (probably about 2 inches) just enough to look good and not affect ground hazards. Thanks again.

Keep in mind that you will NOT be able to retain stock ride quality with a 2" drop. You will have to use stiffer springs to keep the car from bottoming against the bumpstops, and with stiffer springs you need stiffer shocks. If you use springs that aren't stiff enough, the suspension will bottom out all the time, wear out the shocks, and could possibly cause some damage.
tanabe df210 springs + tokico blues =
thats a great match for daily driving, somewhat stiffer but handles much better and for about $450 off optauto.com its not too expensive (and oh yea the drop is about 1.75-2.25 in.

I have ~1.3 inch drop on my car and I have to be careful around speedbumps and stuff. 2" and you really have to careful on how you drive (driveways, inclines, clearing hoist posts in a garage etc)
I'm running Tokico Illuminas and Eibach Pro springs. It can be a very stiff ride (depending on my settings), not everyone likes it. It wasn't cheap (~$1500 CDN) not inlcuding labour.
Also consider dropping 2" may require you to have to install adj camber kits.
If your mechanicaly inclined and have access to the right tools and patience, you should be fine.
Also keep in mind that you'll need an alignment afterwards.
Hope this helps.

Dammit! It's not the camber that wears out the tires, it's the toe, but yes, get an alignment.

Is that what set up your running? If so, got any pics? Sounds like a decent deal

wrong.
<-- dropped 3"+ with no camber kit, only been through 2 sets of tires in nearly 90,000 miles since I first lowered my car.
