Well I was thinking about it just now because someone ask me how much i have in my car. I have about 7000 dollars in the car. That is a fresh b18c1 with a built head. I have put 8000 miles on it since the rebuild 6 months ago. Its going strong and im happy with it. I just pieced together a turbo kit for the drag season for 1200 bucks and it will be going on car in a few weeks. So 8200 dollars in car counting the cost of the car. Thats not bad. Considering I couldnt buy a new car for that and have 1/4 mile time i have. I'm pretty much done with the car now and want to do another one. Thinking h22 or k20 crx/hatch. So how much have you dumped into your car?

im up to about 10,000 and all i have is a b16 and some body work

 

im at about $7,500 and ive i only had the car for about 2 years(this march) and i dont know when ill stop spending

 

I spent almost 4500 on my first crx... dohc zc, car, hybrid trannys, exhaust, interior ****, paint job and body work etc (all done by myself)

my 2nd crx i picked up for $500 and have about 2000ish into the ls/vtec im building for it, planning on easily another $1500 into it's turbo kit...

and then i have my 3rd crx, bought it for $250...I have several hundred into the motor/trubo on it so yeah

lots of money, lots of fun y0

 

Uh Yea ive got about 12 dollers in change in the ashtray

 

just under 10 bucks in the ashtray and little side compartment... and not enough in the rest of the car...

car was 1600 bucks.. puls suspenion,wheel/tires,frontlip,seats,and DOHC ZC (commingsoon).. soo around... 2500/3000

 

i traded my 88 integ. for my 9o crx with a d16y5, turbocharge r and another bumper. since then ive put about 3000 into it and its still has a blown head gasket

 

After my tuning which is coming up shortly, I will have broken the $15,000 mark.

 

Too much to even want to know! Well over 15k!! Yikes...

 

just under 8,000 in 2 CRX's (alot of ebay parts and all work done myself/with friends)
First one i got to $6400 then it was stolen
(recovered engine/int/bodykit on crappy chassis)
The recovered crx i've put about 1200 into now to get it back to a decent condition. Still one of the nicer ones out there but i'll sell it to build another one from a clean chassis.. I hate knowing that theres bondo on my car lol I want a clean slate to rebuild.

when I added it all up the other day I came up with a little over 10K and I still don't have a whole lot to show for it...no turbo...or supercharger and I still need body work

so 7700 and it still has no motor in it, no suspension in it or even a front end on it. around 11000 i will stop for this year

 

I had right around 10K in my 91 Si hatch. That was a DOHC ZC/I/H/E/Cat/Suspension + your standard replacement items for such an old car, I only had teh car for 1.5 years, and I only put about 7k miles on it that whole time. I sold it for $2500

 

so far around 10k and still not complete yet.

 

It's a '89 CRX Dx ($1,000) I've had it about two months and already put in about $4,000 and still don't have the motor yet .... Plus about $7,000 between my other two cars and over $5,000 in tickets, (26pts), and court fees

 

1200 for the car
500 body work
500 rims & tires
1000 in engine swap

Also have front bumper hole covers, 3 screws, a little screw driver, a quarter, pennies to throw at people on the road to give them my two cents, cotter key, and a spare key to my wife's car in the ashtray and coin holder

 

4200 Including the cost of the car...all-motor low 13's coming soon!! !!

 

5000 now and attemtping to purchase a gsr swap tomorrow for another 3500

Does there seem to be an artificial price cap on these cars, or is it just me?

 

Car was $4k...spend about $4k....had it for about 6 months and haven't drivven it YET!
