Default type R shift ****

Do y'all think a Type R shift **** is rice? I personally don't, but someone brought it up recently and I was sort of wondering what the general opinion here is..

I just recenlty got a new shift **** for my civic that was called a "Type R" shift ****, but I don't think it is rice! It doesn't say type-r on it!!! It is just a metal shift **** with red lettering, its really kinda nice!
How dare anyone say that is rice!

Yeah.. that's EXACTLY the way I feel. It just looks nice. It doesn't say Type R or anything, if you didn't know you'd just say, "hey nice shift ****"..
Some people are just stupid I guess.

I dont see how you people can stand metal shift ****. Freezing cold in the winter, friggin hot in the summer, and my hand always slips off of them.

I got one of those gunmetal $20 ones.....looks fine and fits well in my hand, better than my DC or Sparco *****...will look even better once my JDM ITR red-stitched boot comes in.

I dont think its rice-I used to have one...I thought it looked cool and the gunmetal one has a different texture to it. I do agree about the temp with metal shift *****; it sucks to grab an oven eye or ice cube-
