My friends CRX is idleing real low and runs really rough and it smoked alot. He ran it without an O2 sensor for a while and after he replaced it, it cleared up the problem for a lil while and then it started and he doesn't have a clue how to fix it.

what color smoke?

 

it was white, we dont think he wasnt burnin oil.

 

headgasket... white smoke is anti-freeze burning...

and what kind of O2 sensor did your friend get? Universal, or OEM Bosch replacement? It makes a difference.

 

for antifreeze same thing just happened to me blew the headgasket good luck bro....

 

he got the bosch.

 

he thought it might be without the sensor it wasnt giving it enough fuel so was getting a bad explosion which seemed to make sense b/e when he put the sensor back in it worked ok for a little. Again it started back up it's just not aas bad as before.
