since i've lived in CT:
- 4 dings
- 1 idiot driver who ran a red light and took out my bumper, right & left quarterpanels, and hood as well as bent my frame 1"
the car isn't a year old until february. now 2 weeks ago i walk out of work to find this:



hit and run - obviously an suv.
body shop estimate, $721.
the car will stay broken until someone rear ends me. sooooo, i should have that new rear end within the month!
don't move to connecticut!!!

 

oh it hurts to look at I think im gonna be sick, its one thing to get in a wreck, but carelessness from others in Horrible

 

You can't report the hit and run to the police and have your insurance co. cover the damages?

 

I know someone who got hit at work.
He found out who did it and keyed their car every day for a month.

 

i think its time for you to get yourself a beater and put the itr up for awhile....

 

Damn...people are such ******. WTF is up with that. Hit and runs suck.

it's amazing, i'm very **** about how i park, yet my car gets dents like no other. hell, on my way to the body shop, some woman turns left out of gas station without ever looking to her left!!! of course, that's where i was. i was screaming, "no not the front end, aim for the rear," haha!

I was there 4~5 years ago, and I remember they just started doing some major construction. Campus probably looks diff now.

LOL, thats pretty funny....Sorry about your car man. Ive been to CT, those people drive crazy. I was visiting friends of mine and there was tons of snow on the ground but they drive on those roads as if they were completely dry....its crazy. The roads there do suck though....SO many pot holes...im thankful for Georgia roads.

I do miss my CT friends...I need to go visit them soon...

Sorry to see. If it makes you feel any better, my car turned a year old in the body shop. To date, it's been there about 4 times in 19 months.

 

Hit and run = collision coverage

Most folks have a deductable for collision, plus you take the chance of your rates increasing

i lived in westport for 13 years.. talk about bad drivers

 

i work in westport, that's where this happened.

 

Westport = lots of rich SUV drivers. My area of CT is like that too.

Just about every family in CT has an SUV, and the rich ones are guaranteed to have one. Given our winters, 4WD is a good idea.

forgive me if i don't want to say where i work. getting the car trashed is one thing, getting it stolen is another.
westport is a posh place. in this town, porsche's are as commonplace as a chevy would be in a normal town. as for suv's, all the women drive the lexus, bimmer, mercedes varieties. i've seen several ferraris, a lamborghini, and even an aston martin.
