crx broke down. possible timing belt slip?
crx has a b16a. i was pulling out of a parking lot when i noticed my car felt really weak. i drove about a mile and the car felt weaker and weaker, so i pulled over, popped the hood. i heard a bit of clanking from the head. so i turned the motor off, checked around and didnt see anything (this was night time..) tried to start the car again, and it wouldnt start.
the next day when it was a little brighter i took a look at the timing belt... its not broke, but on the backside of it theres a little chunk missing in one spot, which leads me to believe the belt may have skipped a tooth or 2, since that area of the belt is probably a little more stretchable than usual, for lack of a better word.
im hoping i will be able to put a new belt on and reset the timing and go on my marry way.
any sageful advice is well appreciated.
thanks.

Spin it over to TDC on #1 and all the timing marks should line up...if they don't then you'll know that it slipped.
Throw a new belt on it and do a compression test.
Best of luck
