New to TIG
well we just bought our first tig welder for the shop and hope that we made a wise choice. Finances were an issue so we didnt go crazy so we picked up a Miller SYNCROWAVE 180 SD TIG. What are your thoughts on this welder? Good deal? We are trying to step up from the good ol MIG.

It's what I use, I've never had any problems with it.

Has anyone ever guessed wrong whether or not that was a torch or stinger in their hands?

One of the best things to have is a digital camera. If you don't have anybody there that can coach you along, take pics and post them. We'll give advice and help you stay on the right track.
