Ive never had a civic before....i picked up a ex(si can) 2000 two days ago....
anyways the problem or question is

whenever i turn the heat on and turn it so that it defrost the windows ( instead of the insdie) the ac light on the button goes on.
Is that suppose to happen?

Mine does it too. I usually just ignore it and hit it to turn it off.

 

yes that is what is supposed to happen because the ac acts as a dehumidifier and defrosts windows faster and more efficiently
